Your Independence® rotating bed can be configured to rotate in either direction for easier access and use. However, there are two different versions of the Independence bed, and each requires a different process to change the rotation direction.
It’s very important to identify which version you have before attempting any adjustments. Performing the incorrect procedure may cause irreversible damage to your bed.
Identifying Your Bed Version
Locate your frame code label on the bed base. It is typically found on the back of the law tag sticker connected to the bed frame or on the front of your owner's manual.
Use the frame code to determine your version:

Version 1: Frame code CUSIN01

Version 2: Frame codes CUSIN02 or JHLCUSIN01
Once you know your version, follow the corresponding process outlined in your owner’s manual.
Version 1 – Frame Code CUSIN01
If you have Version 1, two components must be adjusted when changing the rotation direction:

The stopper located in the center of the bed

The rotation motor located under the bed
⚠️ Important Warning:
For Version 1 beds, failing to move both the stopper and the rotation motor correctly will cause unrepairable damage to the bed.
Do not attempt this process without referring to your owner’s manual and following the instructions carefully step-by-step.
Version 2 – Frame Codes CUSIN02 and JHLCUSIN01
If you have Version 2, you only need to change the rotation motor direction under the bed.
The process for Version 2 is simpler and does not involve moving the center stopper.
