Proper setup of your Independence® rotating bed is essential for safe and reliable operation. Please note that there are two different versions of the Independence bed, each with slightly different setup instructions.
Following the wrong instructions can result in damage to the bed, so identifying your version before beginning setup is very important.
Step 1 – Identify Which Version You Have
Locate the frame code label on your bed base.
It is typically found on a sticker on the back of the law tag label attached to your frame or on the front of your owner's manual.
Once located, note your frame code and determine your version:

Version 1: Frame code CUSIN01

Version 2: Frame codes CUSIN02 or JHLCUSIN01
Your frame code determines which instructions and video you should follow.
Step 2 – Review the Correct Setup Instructions
Each version of the Independence bed has unique setup requirements and component connections.
Please refer to your Owner’s Manual for your specific version before beginning assembly.

Following the incorrect setup instructions or skipping a step can cause unrepairable harm to your bed. Version 1 and Version 2 have key differences in how the rotation components and stoppers are positioned — incorrect installation may prevent rotation or damage the motor system.
